Crude processing in China dropped for the sixth month in a row, Commerzbank said.

Refining crude oil below last year’s figure

That translates into 14.3 million barrels per day. The level of the previous month was exceeded by about 400,000 barrels a day due to the fact that maintenance work completed at several refineries while a new refinery began operation.

“However, this did little to alter the weak overall picture. Crude oil processing remained below the previous year’s level for the sixth consecutive month. According to the NBS, the decline in September was 5.4%. On the basis of the monthly figures published, the decline was as much as 7.7%.
